Mission - Agustin Barajas, 74, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Amara Hospice of Edinburg. Agustin was born January 9, 1942 in Laredo, Texas. He was a veteran of the US Army. He is preceded in death by his wife: Noelia "Molly" (Rodriguez) Barajas; his father: Antonio Barajas; siblings: Maria Elisa Barajas, Juan Jose Barajas and Victor Barajas.

He is survived by his mother; Lina (Castillo) Barajas; two sons: Juan Jose (Cyndi) Barajas and Rolando (Denise) Barajas; his siblings: Marcos A. (Minerva M.) Barajas of McAllen, Maria Elena Cruz of San Antonio, Juan Antonio (Maria D.) Barajas of McAllen and Maria Elisa (Israel) Mendiola of Kingsville; two grandchildren: Jason Barajas and Brooklyn Barajas.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm Tuesday, June 14, 2016 with a prayer of the Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment with full military honors will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
