McAllen - Alicia Solano, 69, passed away Friday, September 19, 2014 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital of McAllen. Alicia was born March 8, 1945. She is the daughter of the late Jose and the late Irene (Garza) Rodriguez. She is preceded in death by her husband, Juan Jose Solano, Jr.

She is survived by 4 children: Rene (Bertha) Solano, Carmen (David) Rodriguez, Juan Jose (Marisol) Solano, III and Dina Veronica Solano; five sisters: Hermelinda Ozuna, Enriqueta Salinas, Enedelia Rodriguez, Elva Rodriguez-Hilton and Araceli Rodriguez; one brother: Juan Jose Rodriguez; nine grandchildren: Ethan, Nathan, Javier, Amy, Ashley, Juan Jose IV, Alexia, Isiah and Sergio.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm Monday, September 22, 2014 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
