Andrea G. Ramos

MISSION a€" Andrea G Ramos, 49, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014 at MD Anderson Cancer Center of Houston, Texas. She was born to Maria Elena and the late Reynaldo Garcia on March 2, 1965 in Rotan, Texas. She graduated from Mission High School in 1984 and from South Texas College in 2010. On March 8, 1985 she married Armando Ramos, Jr. Together they raised their two children, Amanda Marie and Armando III. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and daughter.

She is survived by her mother: Maria Elena Garcia; her husband: Armando Ramos, Jr.; her children: Amanda Marie Cedillo (Javier) and Armando Ramos, III; her brothers: Reynaldo Garcia, Jr. and Ramiro Garcia; three sisters: Aurora Lozano, Anita Garcia and Maria Elena Garcia. She was loved by many cousins, nieces, nephews, tias, tios and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father and a brother Rumaldo Garcia

She always had a smile on her face even throughout her treatments and until the very end she had an unwavering faith in God. She encouraged those around her to go to church and read the bible. She will forever be in our hearts.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Rivera Funeral Home, L.L.C. of Mission. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Interment will follow at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen.
