Benita Martinez Obituary
McAllen - Benita Martinez, 94, passed away Monday, July 28, 2014 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital of McAllen. Benita was born March 6, 1920 in Kyle, Texas. She is the daughter of the late Sotero and the late Maria (Espinoza) Martinez.
She is survived by one daughter: Maria Gloria Maldonado of McAllen; two grandchildren; Javier Maldonado (Norma) and Brenda Maldonado; seven great-grandchildren; Javier A. Maldonado, Joshua Maldonado, Hiromy A. Maldonado, William Henslee, Robert Olguin Jr., Eduardo J. Olguin and Izella D. Olguin.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday, July 31, 2014 with a rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, August 1, 2014 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. www.riverafuneralhomes.net
