Dalia Hinojosa

Dalia Hinojosa, 77, passed away on Sunday, January 7th 2018 at her residence in McAllen. Preceded in death by her husband: Justo Hinojosa and 2 brothers: Ruben and Natividad Alvarez. Mrs. Hinojosa was born November 10, 1940 in Camargo, Tamaulipas; she was a lifelong resident of McAllen. Mrs. Hinojosa had a passion for gardening and was an avid collector of ceramic dolls.
Survivors include 1 son: Humberto Hinojosa of McAllen; 4 daughters: Gloria (Jose) Uresti, Norma (Rosbel) Hinojosa, Melba Alejandro and Magda (Rafael) Sanchez all of McAllen; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; also surviving are her 2 brothers: Manuel Alvarez of McAllen and Oscar Alvarez of Rio Grande City; and 1 sister: Alicia Villarreal of McAllen.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from 3 pm to 9 pm with a prayer service being held at 7 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. A Chapel Service is scheduled for Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 10:30 am at Rivera Funeral Home with interment following at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission. A Memorial Service will be held shortly after the interment at Iglesia Evangélica Cristiana, 2020 W. Jackson Ave. in McAllen at 2:30 pm; food and refreshments will be served.
