Domingo Vasquez Obituary
Hidalgo - Domingo C. Vasquez, 75, passed away Friday, December 5, 2014 in McAllen. Domingo was born August 13, 1939 in Hidalgo, Texas. He is the son of the late Thomas and Hilaria (Mireles) Vasquez.
He was a veteran and served in the United States Army. He was Assistant Fire Chief with the City of Hidalgo Fire Department for 45 years.
He is survived by his wife: Marcela (Mendoza) Vasquez; daughter: Norma Hilaria (Jose) Gonzalez; son, Carlos Andres (Melissa) Vasquez; brother: Abdon Vasquez; four sisters: Consuelo Vasquez, Manuela Vasquez, Ninfa Vasquez and Diamantina (Lucio) Regalado; seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm Sunday, December 7, 2014 with a rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am Monday, December 8, 2014 at Sacred Heart Parish in Hidalgo. Interment with military honors will follow at Hidalgo City Cemetery in Hidalgo. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. www.riverafuneralhomes.net
