McAllen - Elva G. Morales, 68, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance of Edinburg. Elva was born January 2, 1948 in McAllen, TX. She is preceded in death by her father: Marcelo Gamboa.
She is survived by her children: Fermin (Ruby) Morales of Elsa, Leticia (Jorge) Casas of McAllen, Elva Rosa (Leopoldo) Murrillo of McAllen, Diana (fiancé Charles) Garza of McAllen, Herman (Lupita) Morales of Dodge City, Kansas, Chris (Tony) Casso of McAllen and Julia (Jesus) Rodriguez of Edinburg; her mother: Natalia Gamboa; two brothers: Alex (Lupita) Gamboa and Frank (Lulu) Gamboa both of McAllen; sister: Beatriz Gamboa of McAllen; 24 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm Wednesday, April 13, 2016 with a rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, April 14, 2016 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at La Piedad Cemtery in McAllen. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. www.riverafuneralhomes.net
