Mission - Francisca Salazar, 77, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, October 24, 2017. Francisca was born December 3, 1939 in General Bravo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She is the daughter of the late Jose Maria and the late Maria Trinidad (Martinez) Garza. She is preceded in death by her great-grandson: JJ Salazar, III.
She is survived by five sons: Juan (Rosa) Salazar, Jr. of Mission, Joe (Idalia) Salazar of Mission, Jaime (Petra) Salazar of Mission, Javier (Rosie) Salazar of Mission and Jesus G. (Esmeralda) Salazar of San Antonio; three brothers: Tomas Garza of Monterrey, Oscar Garza of San Juan and Jose Rosario Garza of Pharr; three sisters: Mari De Jesus Garza of Monterrey, Inez Garza of McAllen and San Juana Garza of San Juan; 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday, October 26, 2017 with a Prayer of the Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home, 1813 N. Conway Ave. of Mission. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am Friday, October 27, 2017 at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 620 Dunlap, Mission. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission. Service arrangements have been entrusted to Rivera Funeral Home of Mission. www.riverafuneralhomes.net
