Genoveva Saenz Garcia

Mrs. Genoveva S. Garcia peacefully passed at her home surrounded by her family in McAllen, Texas on May 17, 2017 at the age of 95. She was born on October 12, 1921 in Santa Elena, Texas at the Santa Ana Ranch, the daughter of Feliciano and Felipa Saenz. She is preceded in death by her husband Genovevo Garcia, her parents; her sister, Hilaria Villarreal and brothers, Florentino, Adan, Luciano, Esequiel, Lazaro, Jose Angel, and Moises. Genoveva was a devoted home maker, and loved her family dearly. She enjoyed dancing and listening to music, as well as afternoons spent sitting outside surrounded by family. Mrs. Genoveva S. Garcia is survived by her daughters Gloria G. Diaz, Gracie Ruiz (Rodolfo Ruiz), Felipa Cavazos (Matias CavazosIII), and son Genovevo Garcia Jr. (Julie Garcia). Genoveva also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Rivera Funeral Home McAllen from 3 pm to 7 pm on May 18, 2017 with a service following after. Funeral services will be held on May 19, 2017 at 10 am at Rivera Funeral Home, and graveside services will be held at the family cemetery in Santa Ana Ranch in Santa Elena, Texas. Funeral arrangements will be entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home
