German Montemayor Obituary
McAllen - German Montemayor, 84, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at his residence in McAllen. German was born May 28, 1931 in Dr. Gonzalez, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to the late Manuel and Maria De Los Angeles (Gutierrez) Montemayor. He is preceded in death by his wife: Blanca de Montemayor.
German is survived by his children: Blanca E. Meckel, Alma N. Salazar, Juan Angel Montemayor and German Montemayor Jr.; sister: Rebeca Montemayor; as well as 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother who will be dearly missed.
He was honored to have served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a proud American who loved his country.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 9:30 am Friday, August 7, 2015 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. www.riverafuneralhomes.net
