Gloria Mora Obituary
McAllen - Gloria Mora, 96, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, January 20, 2016. Gloria was born October 11, 1919 in McAllen. She is preceded in death by her parents: Nestor and Valentina A. Mora; brothers: Joaquin, Nestor and Francisco Mora; sisters: Lupita and Maria Del Refugio Mora.
Gloria was a loving sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend who will always be remembered. She dedicated her life giving of herself to others never showing signs of slowing and always having time to care for others.
She is survived by her loving nieces and nephews, Cesar Joaquin Mora Salazar, Javier Mora Salazar, Gerardo Mora Salazar, Frank Mora, Jr. (Debbie), John Mora (Connie), Ralph Mora, Luis Mora (Janet) and Julian Mora (Lydia), Carmen Estrada (Tony) and Christina M. Trigo (Manuel); numerous grand, great-grand and great-great-grand nieces and nephews; friends and other relatives who she will be missed by dearly.
Family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude for all the calls, food, messages of condolences to everyone and an added special thanks to her provider, Yolanda Mora; Grand Terrace Nursing Home and the medical staff at McAllen Medical Center for all the love and care they provided.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm Friday, January 22, 2016 with a rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. A Mass of Christian burial will be said at 10:00 am Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. www.riverafuneralhomes.net
