Isabel Salas

Pharr - Isabel Salas, 74, passed away Friday, May 15, 2015 at home in Pharr. Isabel was born September 19, 1940 in Falfurrias, TX. She is the daughter of the late Victoriano and the late Mercedes Alaniz.

She is survived by her husband: Tomas Salas; five daughters: Lidia (Jose Luis) Andrade, Maria Elena Soto, Armandina Salas, Hermelinda (Alejandro) Salas and Cindy (Ernesto) Aguilar; one son: Thomas (Andrea) Salas, Jr.; four brothers and sisters: Eufemia Vargas, Roy Alaniz, Guadalupe Valdez and Isidro Alaniz; 16 grandchildren: Maria Isabel Andrade, Stacey Lee Andrade, Jose Luis Andrade, Jr., Alejandro Salas, Jr., Bobby (Gloria) Salas; Meranda Salas, Honorio Soto, Jr., Roxanna Soto, Jessica Salas, Mason Salas, Anna Marie Cantu, Barbie Bianca Cantu, Cindy (Freddy) Escobedo, Mindy Cantu, Kimberly Cantu and Ivan Cantu; 10 great-grandchildren: Zackary Gonzalez, Saydee Love Lara, Bobby Salas, Jr., Audreena Salas, Kerenza Jolee Soto, Shawn Michael Villarreal, Freddy Villarreal, Max Montez, RJ Cantu, Aubre Armandina Cantu.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm Sunday, May 17, 2015 with a rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 1:00 pm Monday, May 18, 2015 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen.
