Isidro Zapata Obituary

Edinburg - Isidro Zapata, 88, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at McAllen Heart Hospital. Isidro was born May 15, 1929 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years: Constancia (Guardiola) Zapata; his parents: Soledad and Santos (Lopez) Zapata and his daughter: Julia Z. Mata.

He is survived by his children: Juan Jose Zapata and Yolanda Z. (Eduardo) Velasquez; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; as well as numerous other friends and family.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm Friday, September 15, 2017 with a prayer of the Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Cremation services will follow.
