Jeffrey Thomas Ortiz

Jeffrey Thomas Ortiz was born January 18, 2000 in Edinburg, Texas to Yolanda Mandujano and Robert Ortiz. Jeffrey went to be with our Lord on September 19, 2017. He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Faustino Mandujano, Jr. and Rudy & Lucy Garza.

Jeffrey is survived by his parents: Yolanda Mandujano and Robert Ortiz; maternal grandmother: Elisa Rivera Mandujano; paternal great-grandmother: Romana Guerra; brothers: Jacob, Jourdan, Robert A., Jaren, Jason, Justin and Jett; step sisters: Victoria and Chloe; maternal aunts: Norma Mandujano (Armando) Herrera, Nelda Mandujano (Raul) Sepulveda; maternal uncles: Marco Antonio (Karyna) Mandujano, Richard Ray (Lisa) Mandujano; paternal uncles: Joe Ortiz, Toby (Renata) Ortiz, Rudy Garza, Jr.; paternal aunts: Elizabeth Ortiz, Ruby Ann (Kennith) Landeau; maternal cousins: Ashley, Alejandra, Makenzie, Makayla, Andy, Paul Michael (Rebecca) , Adrian, Isaiah Ray, Alejandro, Marky, Raul, Jr., JonRey Anthony, Leia Victoria, Michael Andrew and numerous paternal cousins.

Jeffrey attended Pioneer High School and was a true and loyal Diamondback up until the end. Jeffrey was made "Manager" of the Pioneer Diamondbacks baseball team, something he was extremely proud of. He was also a member of the youth group at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Jeffrey was an amazing young man who lived life to the fullest. He touched many, many lives along the way and will be dearly missed by everyone who came in contact with him at one time or another. He will live in our hearts forever. There is comfort in knowing that Jeffrey is now walking the streets of gold with his grandparents.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 22, 2017 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home in McAllen. Rosary will follow at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Interment will follow to Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in McAllen. Pallbearers will be Marco Antonio Mandujano, Richard Ray Mandujano, Armando Herrera, Paul Michael Eguia, Jacob Garcia, Robert A. Ortiz, Jaden Ortiz and Jourdan Ortiz. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Guerra, Isaiah Ray Mandujano, Alejandro Barrera, Jason Ortiz, Justin Ortiz and Jett Ortiz.
