McAllen - Jesse Henry Colbath, 67, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at home in McAllen. Jesse was born August 9, 1946 in McAllen, Texas. He is the son of the late Jesse and the late Maria (Rodriguez) Colbath.
Jesse graduated from McAllen High School and joined the National Guard. He worked for the McAllen Police Department for over 20 years and after retiring he went on to work with US Customs for 2 years. His career continued working 15 years with the Hidalgo County Sheriffs Department and then with the McAllen School Police where he ended his service in law enforcement.
He is survived by his wife: Lidia (Perez) Colbath; three sons: Jesse H. Colbath, IV and Randy Colbath both of Austin, Texas and Erick Tellez of McAllen, two daughters: Kimberly Tellez and Suzette Colbath all of McAllen, Texas; three brothers: Eliud Colbath of McAllen, Texas, Eddie Colbath of Coppers Cove, Texas and Eloy Colbath of Edinburg, Texas; five sisters: Edna De La Rosa of San Antonio, Texas, Elma Garza of Mission, Texas, Emma Noyola of Wisconsin, Elizabeth Colbath of Florida and Eleanor Colbath of Hidalgo, Texas; two grandchildren.
