McAllen - Josefa Guadalupe Tijerina, 41, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at McAllen Heart Hospital. Josefa was born December 9, 1972 in Los Herreras, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

She is survived by her husband: Roel Tijerina; three children: Roel Tijerina, Rolando Tijerina and Janekza Tijerina; brother: Alberto Antonio Tamayo.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday, July 31, 2014 and a rosary at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 3:30 pm Friday, August 1, 2014 at San Juan Diego Catholic Church, 3408 Idela St., McAllen. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery, McAllen.
