Juan Angel Saenz

McAllen - Juan Angel Saenz (Don Juan), 68, passed away Friday, March 13, 2015 at Doctor's Hospital at Renaissance of Edinburg. Juan was born September 17, 1946 in Reynosa, Mexico. He was the son of the late Jose Maria Saenz and the late Dilia (Flores) Saenz.

He is survived by his wife: Hortencia (Ozuna) Saenz; three daughters: Patricia Saenz of McAllen, Brenda (Mario Perez) Saenz of McAllen and Dilia (Sergio) Cantu of McAllen; son: Juan Angel Saenz of McAllen; two brothers: Jose Maria Saenz of Reynosa and Benito Saenz of McAllen; and one sister: Norma Leticia Cortez of McAllen. Don Juan is also survived by 8 grandchildren.

Besides being a devoted husband and father, Don Juan loved entertaining people, riding horses, singing with mariachi and playing with his grandchildren. He was the owner of Don Juan's Mexican Restaurant in McAllen. He will truly be missed.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Sunday, March 15, 2015 with a rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am Monday, March 16, 2015 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
