Lorenza Cruz Obituary

McAllen - Lorenza Cruz, 72, passed away Monday, September 15, 2014 at Comfort House of McAllen. Lorenza was born January 19, 1942 in Montemorelos, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She is the daughter of the late Nicolas and Guadalupe (Vasquez) Rubio.

She is survived by her husband: Rafael Cruz; her children, sons: Nicolas Cruz of Mission, Pedro Cruz, Francisco Cruz and Rolando Cruz all of McAllen; daughters: Guadalupe Ramon of Mission, Lorena Flores of San Juan, Yesenia Hernandez of Kingsville and Alicia Hernandez of Donna; son: Francisco Hernandez of Illinois; numerous grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm Wednesday, September 17, 2014 with a rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
