Mariza Sosa

Edinburg/McAllen - Mariza Sosa went to be with our Lord on Friday April 28, 2017 in Edinburg at the age of 57 years. She was born on May 7, 1959 in Mexico to Basilio Salazar and Hermelinda Garcia. Mariza was a life long resident of Edinburg. She attended and was a member of St Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in McAllen for many many years. She was a proud stay at home grandma. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband: Mr. Benancio Sosa Jr.; her children: Benancio (Laura) Sosa, III, Michael (April) Sosa and Clarissa Sosa; one sister: Diana (Raul) Saenz; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm Sunday, April 30, 2017 with a prayer of the Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home,1901 Pecan Blvd., McAllen. Celebration of Life Mass will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, May 1, 2017 at St.Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow to Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
