McALLEN a�" Mauro Betancourt, 72, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at home in McAllen. Mauro was born December 21, 1941 Mexico. He is the son of the late Guadalupe and the late Celestina (Fernandez) Betancourt.
He is survived by his children: Ruben Betancourt, Lori Betancourt, Mauro Betancourt, Jr., Carlos Betancourt, Eliazar Betancourt and Esperanza Betancourt; three sisters: Olivia (Zenaidoa� ) Pruneda, Leonila (Nestor Jr.) Ponce, Minnie (Pablo Sandoval) Alaniz; three brothers: Juan (Juanita) Betancourt, Leonel (Glafira) Betancourt and Raul (Mary Lou) Betancourt; 14 grandchildren: Lindsey, Kelly, Sarah, Christian, Willard, Jennifer, Alex, Andrew, Stephen, Christopher, Charlie, Chelsea, Jessica and Levi.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm Friday, September 26, 2014at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen.
