Olga Cordova Obituary
Pharr- Olga Cordova 77, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 1, 2014. Olga was born on September 1, 1937 in McAllen, Texas to Fidel and Maria (Salas) Mendoza. Ms. Cordova was a charitable individual who was always willing to lend a helping hand. She loved to travel, dance, and listen to music. She enjoyed spending time in her backyard watering her plants, in the company of her family.
She is survived by three sons: Louis Peter Velasquez, Efren Araiza both of Pharr, Ernesto Araiza of Edinburg; two daughters: Renee Livesay and Maria Del Consuelo Flanders both of Palmhurst. She is also survived by two brothers: Reynaldo Mendoza and Roberto Mendoza; two sisters: Martha Mendoza and Evangelina Mendoza; and eight beautiful grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her sister Gregoria Zepeda, and brother Fidel Mendoza.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm and a Rosary at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. A Chapel Service will be held 10:00 am Thursday, November 6, 2014 at the same location.
The family requests in lieu of flowers a donation to The American Diabetes Association and/ or The Rio Grande Valley Food Bank.
