Porfirio Leal Obituary
Alton - Porfirio G. Leal, 88, went to be with our Lord Monday, November 3, 2014. Porfirio was born on February 26, 1926 in Los Ramones, N.L., Mexico. He is preceded in death by his parents: Manuel Leal and Felicitas Garza; his siblings: Eva Salinas; Petra Leal; Manuel Leal and Abundio Leal.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Maria Ignacia Leal and his daughter Maria Juanita Leal-Perales (Israel Perales Jr.); his grandsons: Porfirio Alejandro and Jamie Reyes; his granddaughter: Annalisa Perales; his brothers: Leopoldo and Eusebio Leal.
A hard-working man with a great sense of humor and a big heart, Mr. Leal adored his family and his cherished pets.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in McAllen with Father Tom Luczak, OFM celebrating. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. www.riverafuneralhomes.net
