Edinburg - Ramon Gomez, 70, passed away Monday, May 18, 2015 at home in Edinburg. Ramon was born December 10, 1944 in Harlingen, TX. He is the son of the late Ramon and the late Christina (Moreno) Gomez.

He is survived by his wife: Maria De Los Angeles (Rodriguez) Gomez; seven children: Maria (Scott) Luke, Yolanda (Eloy) Hernandez, Gerardo Gomez, Mary (George) Garza, Susana (Alex) Rubio, Patricia (Bob) Leal and Claudia (Aaron) Ponce; brother: Jesus Martinez; two sisters: Aldara Gonzalez and Lorena Bautista; 15 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm Tuesday, May 19, 2015 with a rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 2201 Martin Ave., McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
