Rene Ruiz

McAllen- Rene Ruiz was born on April 16, 1959 in McAllen, Texas to Gilberto and Consuelo Ruiz. He passed away on June 8, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas. Rene attended McAllen High School and resided in McAllen all of his life. He was a devout husband, father, brother and friend to all. His passions included hunting and family bbq's. He was a dedicated truck driver for Trinity Environmental Services of McAllen. Rene will be remembered as a "family first" man, provider and a friend to everyone he met.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Consuelo M. Ruiz. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Teresa Denise Leadingham-Ruiz; two sons: Rene Jarrett Ruiz and Brandon Travis Ruiz of McAllen; siblings: Diane Villarreal of Pharr, George Ruiz of McAllen, Javier Ruiz of Corpus Christi, Marisela Angulo of Edinburg and Gilberto Ruiz of Edinburg. He also leaves behind three grandchildren, Addison Mae Ruiz, Joziah Ruiz and Reanna Ruiz.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 11, 2015 from 1:00pm to 9:00pm with a rosary beginning at 7:00pm at Rivera Funeral Home in McAllen. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00am on Friday, June 12, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
