Romeo B. Rendon, 86, took his smile to a better place on April 23, 2017. His long and incredible journey on this earth came to its end on Sunday night with his family at his side. Born on September 25, 1930 in Rocksprings, Texas to Valente and Regina Rendon, Romeo was one of 11 brothers and sisters growing up in Robstown, Texas.
In 1950, he was drafted during the Korean War and served his country with honor, spending over 2 years overseas. When he returned to the US he started his life in business, following the path that led him to buying and selling heavy machinery, which defined his career until the day he retired. He touched countless lives throughout his years. Always the life of the party, no matter the venue, to know him was a joy, as he was never satisfied until he made you laugh.
He is survived by two brothers: Rogelio and Ruben; two sisters: Ernestina and Olaya; daughter: Beatrice Aguilar (David): two sons: Rommel and Romeo (Eva); six grandchildren: Mona, Andrea, Jon David, Romeo III, Evy and Emilio; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
His jokes, his singing, his love, his laughter, his friendship, his support, his advice and warm felt hugs will be deeply missed by us all.
