EDINBURG - Socorro Jara, 86 passed away December 14, 2014 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.

Born on May 25, 1928, Ms. Jara is survived by five sons: Jose Luis, Alberto Javier, Esteban, Isidro and Alejandro Jara; two daughters: Agripina and Maria Antonieta Jara; one brother: Manuel Jaramillo.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm Monday, December 15, 2014 with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Chapel Service will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. www.riverafuneralhomes.net
