November 18th, 2015, Veronica "Ronnie" (Meyers) Gilchrist, age 64, beloved wife of Raymond P. Gilchrist; devoted mother of Madelaine Garcia (Michael), Danielle Kramer (Sean); Amazing Nana of Sarah, Samantha, Michael Garcia, Brendan, Madison and Alana Kramer; adored sister of John W. (Lorraine) Meyers, Jr., LTC. (Ret.) US Army William F. (Jacqueline) Meyers, Gerard (Stacy) Meyers, Marie (Michael) Nickel and Kevin Meyers. Beloved daughter of the late John W. Meyers, Sr. and Veronica D. Meyers.
Ronnie taught at Nikki "Rowe" High School for many years impacting the lives of her students, that she would call her children. She was involved in many clubs and activities into which she poured her heart. She had an amazing love for life, cherishing each day. Her time here on earth ended today, but she will remain in our hearts for eternity.
Friends and family are invited to visit from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday, November 19, 2015 with a rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, November 20, 2015 at 9:30 am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at 11:00 am at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. www.riverafuneralhomes.net
