Veronica Rodriguez Obituary
McAllen - Veronica P. Rodriguez, 61, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Doctors Hospital At Renaissance of Edinburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, Agustin Pena, Sr. and Candelaria Olabarrieta Pena; brother, Robert Garza and granddaughter, Kaitlynn Barron.
She is survived by three sons: Corey R. Cisneros (Illiana), Robert L. Cisneros and Joey M. Rodriguez; two daughters: Deanna C. Barron ( Ricardo) and Ronnica L. Rodriguez; one brother: Agustin Pena Jr. (Rose); two sisters: Angie Oliva (Johnny), Yvette Melissa Pena; sister in-law, Teresa Garza; five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
As a homemaker she lived her life for her children and was truly devoted to her mother. Her greatest joy was to travel with her children any chance she could. Las Vegas and the beach were her favorite get aways. Her unselfish beautiful heart did not allow her to complain when not feeling well. We will miss her greatly, but know in our hearts that we will see her again someday.
A heartfelt special thank you to two DHR RNs: Binoj Mathew and Sunil Nair for their professionalism, attentiveness, compassion and tender loving care.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday, November 6, 2014 with a rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am Friday, November 7, 2014 at Our Lady Of Sorrows Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. www.riverafuneralhomes.net
