Zeferino Munoz

MCALLEN - Zeferino Munoz, 79, entered eternal rest on Monday, September 19, 2016 at McAllen Medical Center. He was born on November 25, 1936 to Luciano and Cirila Munoz in Jocotepec, Jalisco, Mexico. He was a retired Office Machine Technician and worked for Jones Office Supply over 40 years. In addition, he was an avid marathon runner and member of the South Texas Striders. He was gifted with a sense of humor that brought a smile to everyone's face and lifted their spirits.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Manuela Munoz, of 54 years, his six children: Elizabeth (Mauro) Flores, Maricela (Manuel) Villarreal, Serapio Guerrero, Patricia Munoz, Enrique Munoz, and Lynda (Tyson) DeSutter, 10 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

Family will receive family and friends Today, Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 1 PM - 9 PM with a 7 PM Rosary at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd, in McAllen. The burial will be held on Friday, September 23rd, 2016 at La Piedad Cemetery at 3:00 PM. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. www.riverafuneralhomes.net
