McAllen ~ Olivia Mueller, Olivia Gauna Bravo, or Oli Canoli as I called her, passed away peacefully on the 21st day of March, 2024 following 10 1/2 months valiantly battling an unrelenting Lymphoma. Oli was 63 at the time of her death. She and I, her husband of the last many years, had our goals... forever left to be unfinished. We also had our accomplishments and shared countless great times.
She is sorely missed by me, by her son Sam Taylor, by her sisters Rhina and Estela, by her brothers Efraín and José Luis, and by countless relatives, friends, students and acquaintances.
In the words of a close friend, "Olivia was loved beyond words"... "one of the best people I've ever met in my life"... "I think she was the single most pure loving human I've ever met and I know so many who agree with me." These descriptions fit Oli Canoli perfectly. She will always be in my heart, in my thoughts, in my dreams, and in my life. I miss her deeply. Good night beautiful, you will always be the best part of me.
