Arturo Alaniz, Sr.

Arturo Alaniz,Sr. passed away on June 27, 2019 in McAllen, Texas. Arturo was born on February 27, 1931 to Marcelino and Virginia Gonzalez Alaniz. Arturo was a life long resident of McAllen. He worked for Lifetime Industries for many years. He was happily married for 49 years to Rosa Jimenez Alaniz. Arturo was a devoted Jehovas Witness. Arturo will be dearly missed by his family and those that came to know him. 

Arturo was preceded n death by his parents; Siblings-Raul Roberto and Irma Alaniz.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife- Rosa Alaniz; His children- Arturo Alaniz,Jr. Virginia Pratt, Richard Alaniz, Irma Alaniz, Michael Alaniz; Brothers- Homero Alaniz, Rodolfo "Rudy" Alaniz; numerous of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd. in McAllen from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM.  Committal services will be on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
