Aurora Martinez

McAllen - Aurora Martinez, 94, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Amara Hospice Facility in Edinburg surrounded by her family. Aurora was born in Mexico on August 24, 1924, daughter of Rafael and Maria (Saucedo) Molina. She had lived in McAllen for most of her life. Aurora was a strong faith women who loved to read her bible daily. She loved to water her flowers, tend to her garden and loved knitting. Aurora truly lived her life to its fullest and will be dearly missed by her family.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and five siblings. 

Left to cherish Aurora's memory are her children; Maria Del Carmen Rodriguez, Maria Guadalupe Ramirez, Patricio Martinez, Jesus Martinez, Jr., Virginia Cano, Jose Maria Martinez and Gloria Esperanza Martinez; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

A gathering of family and friends will take place rom 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Rivera Funeral Home,1901 Pecan Blvd. in McAllen. A Prayer Service will begin at 2:00 pm followed by the recital of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, May 20, 2019 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen. McAllen: Aurora Martínez, de 94 años, entró en el descanso eterno el jueves 16 de mayo de 2019 en Amara Hospice en Edinburg rodeada por su familia. Aurora nació en México el 24 de agosto de 1924, hija de Rafael y María (Saucedo) Molina. Ella había vivido en McAllen durante la mayor parte de su vida. Aurora era una mujer de fe fuerte que amaba leer su Biblia diariamente. Le encantaba regar sus flores, cuidar su jardín y amaba tejer. Aurora verdaderamente vivió su vida al máximo y será extrañada por su familia. Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres y cinco hermanos.

Dejados para apreciar la memoria de Aurora son sus hijos; María Del Carmen Rodríguez, María Guadalupe Ramírez, Patricio Martínez, Jesús Martínez, Jr., Virginia Cano, José María Martínez y Gloria Esperanza Martínez; numerosos nietos y bisnietos.

Una reunión de familiares y amigos se llevará a cabo de 1:00 pm a 9:00 pm el domingo 19 de mayo de 2019 en Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd. en McAllen. El Servicio de Oración comenzará a las 2:00 pm seguido del recital del Santo Rosario a las 7:00 pm. Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo a las 10:00 am el lunes 20 de mayo de 2019 en Rivera Funeral Home de McAllen. Seguirá el sepelio en el cementerio de Roselawn en McAllen.
