Elvira Arismendez,86, entered eternal rest on Monday January 14, 2019 in Edinburg surrounded by her loving family. Elvira was born on May 21, 1932 in McAllen. 

Elvira is preceded in death by her son Santiago “Jimmy” Arismendez Jr., 

a great-grandson, Eustacio Christian Mireles, and her parents, Elvira G. Nava  and Santiago Nava Sr. 

She is survived by her sister, Gloria Gambia, her daughters Myrna Garza (Rolando Rodriguez), Diana (Ronnie) Luna, a daughter-in-law Maria Arismendez, 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and her friends.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Rivera Funeral Home from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM with the recital of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen.
