Erlinda G. Chapa

Alton - Erlinda G. Chapa, 81, entered eternal rest on Saturday April 27, 2019 at her home in Alton. Born Sunday, August, 29, 1937 in Bolivar, Mississippi to Vicente and Carmen (Luna) Garcia. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Benito Chapa and son: Sixto Riojas. 

She is survived by her children: Aurora Espinoza, Baldemar Riojas, Jr., Olivia Riojas, Ruben Riojas, Maria Isabel Vargas and Roberto Riojas; brothers and sisters: Tony Garcia, Mayo Garcia, Isabel Garcia, Elvira Pedraza, Oralia Garcia, Eloisa Lopez, Beatrice Ruiz, Juana Garcia and Rosa Galabiz; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.                

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm Monday, April 29, 2019 with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Chapel Service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
