Guadalupe A. Macedo

McAllen - Guadalupe A. Macedo, 75, passed away on Friday August 30, 2019 at Solara Specialty Hospitals in McAllen. She was born on Saturday June 3, 1944 in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico, the daughter of Jose and Guadalupe (Magallan) Arredondo. Guadalupe lived in McAllen most of her life. She was a devout Morman, liked to cook and enjoyed gardening. She loved taking care of her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Pablo Macedo. 

Survivors Include her children: Santos Vasquez, Criselda Zapata, Diana Gomez, Jose Luis Macedo, Pablo Macedo, Jr. and Jessica V. Garcia; brother: Basilio Arredondo, sisters: Maria Adela Arredondo and Blanca E. Ramirez; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.                       

Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm Monday, September 2, 2019 with an Evening Service at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Hidalgo. Interment will follow at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen. Service arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
