Mr. Hector Guerra,74, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 surrounded by his family at the Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. Hector was born on September 30, 1944 to Rafael and Maria Cruz (Segovia) Guerra. Raised in Hidalgo, Hector was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was very involved with his community, always helping out as much as he could. Hector was a long time truck driver. He was owner and operator of M.E.G trucking Company. He enjoyed family time. Hector loved to watch his beloved Dallas Cowboys,win or lose, he was a fan. Hector Guerra truly lived his life to its fullest. RIP

Hector was preceded in death by his parents; Brothers and Sisters-Diana Muniz, Maria Candelaria Guerra, Norma Linda Guerra, Maria Belinda Guerra.

Left to cherish Hector's memory is his wife- Ofelia R.Guerra; His children- Liliana Pina (Marc A. Gonzalez), Maria Elena Guerra (Mark A. Anzaldua), Hector Guerra,Jr., Idolina Guerra, Ana Belinda Guerra, Joanna Guerra, Deanna Marie Guerra, Cynthia Guerra; Siblings- Rafael Guerra,Jr., Ramiro Guerra, Ana Zepeda; Numerous of grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will take place on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Rivera Funeral Home,1901 Pecan Blvd. in McAllen from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with the recital of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hidalgo. Burial will follow to Hidalgo City Cemetery.
