Macaria Cortez Martinez,89, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 surrounded by her family. Macaria was born on March 13, 1930 in Hidalgo, Tamps Mexico to Joaquin and Bernarda (Martinez) Cortez. Macaria was a resident of McAllen for many years. She will be dearly missed by her family, but will forever lived in their hearts.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; Irma Hernandez Cortez, Lidia Hernandez Cortez, Jose Luis Hernandez Cortez, Oscar Hernandez Cortez, Francisco Hernandez Cortez, Jesus Humberto Cortez; 24 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be today July 25, 2019 at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd. in McAllen from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 PM.

Cremation services will take place at a later date.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Rivera Funeral Home in McAllen.
