Maria Indalecia Torrez

McAllen - Maria Indalecia Torrez, 80, entered eternal rest on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Amara Hospice in Edinburg. Born June 6, 1938 in La Grulla, Texas to Trinidad and Delia (Solis) Garcia. She is preceded in death by her husband Alonzo Torrez in 2011 and by her parents.

She is survived by a daughter: Delia Maria Torrez Rodriguez of McAllen; three sons: Martin Torrez of Mission, Alonzo Torrez of Indiana and Carlos Torres of Mission; two sisters: Lola Ibarra and Rosa Diaz both of McAllen; five grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm Wednesday, December 26, 2018 with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in McAllen. Cremation will follow and inunrment of ashes will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, December 28, 2018 at Rio Grande Valley State Veteran's Cemetery in Mission. Service arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
