Olivia Cuellar Tijerina

McAllen - Olivia Cuellar Tijerina, 74, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 9, 2020 surrounded by her loving family at the McAllen Medical Center. Olivia was born on Thursday, November 19, 1945 in Mexico to Guadalupe and Maria Ascencion (Tijerina) Cuellar. Olivia was a past resident of Reynosa, Mexico and a current resident of McAllen for many years. She enjoyed listening to all kinds of music. She enjoyed spending time at family gatherings and loved to visit her grandchildren. Olivia was preceded in death by her parents; two children: Martha Eliza Solis and Victor Manuel Solis; her brothers and sister: Armando Cuellar Tijerina, Arturo Cuellar Tijerina, Francisco Cuellar Tijerina, Ofelia Cuellar Tijerina, and Felix Cuellar Tijerina.

Olivia is survived by her husband: Raul Garcia; son: Ruben Solis; daughter: Olivia Solis; three sisters: Olaya Cuellar Tijerina, Guadalupe "Lupita" Cuellar Tijerina, and Oralia Cuellar Tijerina; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday, January 10, 2020 with a Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Visitation will continue from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm on Saturday, January 11, 2020 with a Celebration of Life Service  at 3:00 pm officiated by Monsignor Juan Nicolau and a Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
