Patrick Anthony Esparza

McAllen - Patrick Anthony Esparza entered eternal rest on Thursday, August 15, 2019 surrounded by his loving family at the MD Anderson Medical Center in Houston, Texas. Patrick was born on August 6, 1970 in Yorktown, Texas to Santiago and Rosa (Longoria) Esparza. Patrick celebrated his 49th birthday last week. Patrick was a resident of McAllen for the past 20 years. He was a 1990 graduate from the Runge High School in Runge, Texas. Patrick was employed with Orion Drilling Service Co. from Corpus Christi, Texas. Patrick loved his wife and his family. He enjoyed spending quality time with family while fishing and hunting. Patrick also was involved in coaching his sons baseball team. Patrick Esparza lived for his family. He always provided and supported his family. FAMILY was his number one in life. Patrick truly lived life to its fullest.

Patrick was preceded in death by his father, his sister- Josie Esparza, His father in law Alfredo Dennett Garcia, His mother in law Mary Ann Bernal Garcia.  Left to cherish his memory is his wife- Mary Ann Garcia Esparza; His sons- Patrick Anthony II and Joshua Ryan Esparza; His mother- Rosa L. Esparza; his brother- Mike and (Dolores) Esparza; Step brother Adam Esparza, Step sister Angel Esparza; his God Daughters-Cassie Marie Garcia and Paris Esparza, grandmother Refugia M. Bernal and numerous of nieces ,nephews and extended family.

A gathering of family and friends will be on Monday, August 19, 2019 at Rivera Funeral Home,1901 Pecan Blvd. in McAllen from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM with the recital of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow to Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen.
