Rafaela Garcia,71, entered eternal rest Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at the McAllen Medical Center. Rafaela was born June 22, 1948 in McAllen, Texas to Jose Garcia Jr. and Jesusa Ramirez Garcia. Rafaela was a life long resident of McAllen. She was employed with the McAllen School District for more than 45 years as a librarian clerk. She enjoyed sewing ,embroidery , spending time with her sisters and nieces and nephews. 

Rafaela was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Oscar Garcia, her sister Rebecca Garcia. Left to cherish her memory are her two surviving sisters; Rosa Garcia, Ramona Garcia, extended nieces and nephews. 

Gathering of family and friends is Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Rivera Funeral Home from 5:00 to 9:00 pm with the recital of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be Friday, November 29, 2019 at 11:30 AM with Monsignor Juan Nicolau officiating. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Cemetery in Mission.
