Rene G. Espinoza,62, entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 31, 2019 surrounded by his family at  McAllen Medical Center Hospital. Rene was born on June 6, 1956 in Edinburg to Guadalupe and Paula (Garcia) Espinoza. Rene lived in Dimmitt Texas where he was raised. He attended schools in Dallas, Texas. Rene was a 1974 graduate of H.Grady Bruce High School in Dallas, Texas. He resided in McAllen for the past 20 plus years. Rene truly enjoyed life to its fullest. Rene loved to joke, always having the last word on everything, loved to dance and listen to Tejano Music. Rene enjoyed watching basketball and football games. Rene G.Espinoza will be dearly missed by his family and friends. 

Rene was preceded in death by his parents; his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Left to cherish his memory are his children- Jesus Rene (Roxanne) Espinoza  of Mission, Jose Raul (Nora) Espinoza of McAllen, Jessica Roxanne (Rafael) Solis of McAllen; Rene was blessed to have been married twice, to  Anita Vasquez and Sandra Obregon, who survive him; Siblings- Ruben Espinoza, Rosa Cantu, Robert Espinoza; Nine grandchildren- Jesus Espinoza, Jr., Jasmine Espinoza, Jose Espinoza, Jazlyn Espinoza, Janae Espinoza, Joseph Espinoza, Jeziree Espinoza, Rafael Solis,Jr., Carlos Solis and one great grandchild- Jenevaeh Espinoza.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, June 3, 2019 at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd. in McAllen from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a prayer service to begin at 6:00 PM and the recital of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 10:00 AM at San Juan Diego Catholic Church in McAllen. Burial will follow to La Piedad cemetery in McAllen. 

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
