Rodrigo Martinez Moreno

McAllen - Rodrigo Martinez Moreno, 90, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 15, 2019 surrounded by his family. Born June 22, 1928 in El Charco, Mexico, the son of Isidro Martinez and Guadalupe (Moreno) Martinez. He had worked in the oilfield industry for more than 50 years. He was a lifelong resident of McAllen and enjoyed ranch life and outdoor activities. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Leonor Martinez on May 2, 2019, brothers and sisters and a grandchild: Vanessa Martinez.

Survivors include his four children: Aubin (Gracie) Martinez; Rodrigo (Sylvia) Martinez, Jr., Ana M. Ibarra and Maribel (Roberto) Sanchez; sister: Elida Carriaga and brother: Gilberto Martinez; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm Monday, June 17, 2019 with a prayer of the Holy Rosary being held at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Celebration of Life Mass will be said at 10:30 am Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in McAllen. Entombment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission. Service arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
