Silvia M. Barrera

McAllen - Silvia M. Barrera, 64, entered eternal rest on Sunday, September 22, 2019 surrounded by her loving family in McAllen. She was born Tuesday, November 2, 1954 in Miguel Aleman, Tamaulipas, Mexico, the daughter of Ricardo Hinojosa Gamez and Inocencia Flores Cadena. Silvia made jewelry and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. She was always there for everyone who needed her. She is preceded in death by a brother: Rosendo Hinojosa and a sister: Maria Guadalupe Hinojosa.

She is survived by her husband: Salvador A. Barrera; three children: Alfredo Barrera, Isis Fabiola Barrera and Salvador Rivardo Barrera; brothers and sisters: Leonor Hinojosa, Maria de los Angeles Hinojosa, Marbella Hinojosa, Santa T. Hinojosa, Ricardo Hinojosa, Blanca Eliever Hinojosa and Amalia Hinojosa: grandchildren: Daniel Cantu, Vasser Barrera, Nael Barrera and Valeria Barrera.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm Monday, September 23, 2019 at Rivera Funeral Home, LLC of Mission with Memorial Service being held at 6:45 pm. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home, LLC of Mission.
