McAllen - Today we mourn the tragic loss of our beloved mother Sylvia Cortinas. She entered eternal rest on Monday, January 6, 2020 at home in McAllen at the age of 57.
She is survived by her husband, Andres Cortinas; her children: Esteban Hernandez, Lino Hernandez, Andres Cortinas, Maria Isabel Cortinas, and Sylvia Marie Cortinas; siblings: Maria Elena Ruiz, Pete Ruiz, Robert Ruiz, Janie Villareal, Ruben Ruiz, Hortencia Ruiz, Martin Davila, Araceli Davila and Norma Puente.
Memorial services will be held from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Friday, January 10, 2020 with a Holy Rosary being recited at 1:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home in McAllen. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home.
