Aurora Galvan Obituary
Aurora Diana Galvan entered eternal rest on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville at the age of 64 years. Aurora was born on Dec 20, 1953 in McAllen to Arnulfo and Guadalupe Contreras.
Aurora was preceded in death by her father, her sister Socorro Pena, her two brothers Rene and Alberto Contreras.
Left to cherish her memory are her children- Eliu (Maritza) Galvan Jr., Elias (Martha) Galvan, Elisa Contreras, Elsa (Gabriel) Pina; Her mother- Guadalupe G. Contreras; her siblings- Dolores (Jose) Rodriguez, Arnulfo Contreras Jr., Juan Contreras, Maria E. (Alex) Barreiro, Lupita (Joe) Ramos, Luzdivina (David) Pena; six grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
A gathering of family and friends will take place today October 9, 2018 at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan in McAllen from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with the recital of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM
A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St.Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in McAllen. Cremation service will take place at a later time.
