Consuelo Guerra

McAllen - Mrs. Consuelo Guerra, 81, entered eternal rest on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at the Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. Consuelo was born on October 20, 1936 in Mexico to Cipriano and Eustolia Reyes. She was a long time resident of McAllen and member of St.Joseph the Worker Church in McAllen. Consuelo enjoyed her daily walking and exercise. She loved to listen to music and watching her telenovelas. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Consuelo lived her life to its fullest. She was preceded in death by her parents; son: Elias Guerra and sister: Maria Gonzalez

Left to cherish Consuelo's memory is her husband of 62 years: Mr. Ernesto Guerra; her children: Ernesto Guerra, Jr., Ezequiel Guerra, Noe Guerra, Elma Vela, Erasmo Guerra, Efrain Guerra, Eustolia G. Pena, Enedelia Olivarez and Hernan Guerra; siblings: Raquel Reeves, Janie Grunner, Maria Del Refugio Avila, Margarita Melendez and Jose Reyes; 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday, June 14, 2018 with a prayer of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, June 15, 2018 at St.Joseph the Worker Church in McAllen.
