Elizabeth Losoya

McAllen- Elizabeth Losoya, 88, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 surrounded by her family at her home in McAllen. Elizabeth was born on December 15, 1929 in Marlin, Texas to Victor and Leonor Colunga. She was a long time resident of McAllen and a faithful member of Templo Calvario in McAllen for more than 45 years. Elizabeth participated in the church services by playing the guitar and the piano. She loved her garden that included all kinds of flowers and plants. She loved to bake for her family and friends. Her specialty were sugar cookies and tamales. Elizabeth Losoya lived her life to the fullest. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her brothers.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Misael Lozoya, Salathiel Lozoya, Sylvia Esquivel, Juan Lozoya and Loyda Lucio; her sister: Lidia Infante; grandchildren: Kenneth Michael Lozoya, Daisy Mae Bocanegra, Brenda Elyse Lozoya, Salathiel Lozoya, Jr., David Lucio, Jr., David Esquivel, Jr., Kaleb Brandon Lozoya, Yared Perry, Abdi Esquivel and Francisco Lucio; great-grandchildren Kayla Elyse Lozoya, Victoria Alexa Bocanegra, Deliah Belen Bocanegra, Jason Charles Perry, Khole Faith Lucio, Emma Isabel Lozoya, Salathiel Lozoya III, Jordan Alezander Perry, Eliora Mirelle Bocanegra, Zoe Hope Lucio and Stella Rose Lozoya.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 30,2018 at the Templo Calvario Church, 3115 Gumwood Ave. in McAllen from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, August 31, 2018 with interment to follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
