Alton - Esmelida Hernandez, 67, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Mission Regional Medical Center. Esmelida was born December 6, 1949 in Mexico.
She is survived by her husband: Guadalupe Hernandez; two daughters: Celene Hernandez and Lupita Hernandez; son: Jorge L. Hernandez; three sisters: Rutila Garnica, Maria Luisa Salinas and Estela Garnica; two brothers: Gaspar Garnica and Miguel Garnica; six grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm Wednesday, April 5, 2017 with a prayer of the Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home, L.L.C. of Mission. A Celebration of Life Mass will be said at 10:00 am Thursday, April 6, 2017 at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church in Alton. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home, L.L.C. of Mission. www.riverafuneralhomes.net
