Jorge Ivan Fabela

McAllen - Jorge Fabela was born on October 31, 1992 in Edinburg, Texas to Raul and Sandra (Lopez) Fabela. Jorge passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday October 13, 2017 in McAllen, Texas. Jorge was a beautiful and devout Christian having attended C.A.P world Christian Conference in Miami, FL last year. He was a young man that inspired many many people with things that he did. He was musically talented, he loved to cook, travel, and draw. He loved to be around his family and friends. He was a life long resident of McAllen where he attended Central Christian School of McAllen and was a 2011 graduate of Hollywood High School in Hollywood, California.

Jorge had a passion for sports cars, motors, and speed, he created a car club that he named "Import Mafia" with only import cars, that ended up with more than 40 members and would meet every Thursday night for what they would call "Cruise Night", they would meet at different locations like the McAllen Convention Center or Trenton View Plaza and cruise all night. He loved science and robots, when he was younger he would love to take apart all things with motors and create new versions of remote control cars and toys he had. He loved imitating Jim Carey and other comedians and was extremely good and funny at it. He loved inventing things and creating, he was always coming up with new business ideas and was an honor student since he was young.

Jorge will be dearly missed, but never to be forgotten by his family and friends.

Jorge was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Cruz and Angelica Fabela.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents: Raul and Sandra Fabela; his sister: Sayra Fabela; maternal grandparents: Ruben and Angela Rosas all of McAllen; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends and family from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm Sunday, October 15, 2017 and Monday, October 16, 2017 at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd. in McAllen with a prayer service being held at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen with burial to follow at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen.
